How do I Update the Routing Number On a 433-D?

The routing number or the bank account number in any sample should be changed by contacting the IRS at 800-829-1040. If you haven’t filed the document, you can easily change the information before sending it. If your template has been submitted and accepted, basically there is no way to change it, unless you contact the Service.

How is Form 9465 Different From Form 433-D?

Although both documents focus on the same topic, there is a big difference between them. Form 9465 is a template for requesting a monthly remittance plan if you can't pay the full amount at once. Meanwhile, the second one is an installment agreement that establishes automatic payments between a taxpayer and the IRS. However, both templates can be submitted electronically.
